Dr. Johnson is a Professor of Healthcare Administration at Upper Iowa University and lectures as a Clinical  Associate Professor at the Des Moines University Graduate Program in Healthcare Administration, and serves as an Adjunct Professor  at Grand View College.

Johnson Insurance Services offers continuing education programming on a variety of healthcare and insurance topics, including managed care, provider networks, consumer-driven health plans, health care marketing, etc.

Dr. Johnson has been a healthcare management consultant for over fifteen years.  Clients include: Wellmark BCBSI, Bankers Life, ICPC, Accountable Health Network, American Republic, HealthLink, American Medical Security, and other well known companies.
