A Kansas native who is known for his strong work ethic. He is a 6-4 shooting guard who excels as a spot-up shooter. The self-proclaimed gym rat is a crowd favorite in Allen Fieldhouse.

A three-time winner of Kansas' annual 12-minute run on the first day of classes, Crider adds depth to the Jayhawk roster at the guard spot. The Kansas high school player of the year in 1998, Crider came to Kansas after a remarkable prep career at Horton (Kan.) High School, where he was best known for his perimeter shooting.

Crider is known to practice up to six hours a day during the off-season and is adjusting to the intensity and pace of the Division I game. He will compete for playing time at the big guard position. He enters the 2000-01 season having missed just one free throw in his two-year tenure.
