SEASON SUMMARY:
On Feb. 19, 1914, KU met Phog Allen’s Warrensburg team (now Central Missouri State University), which came to play in Lawrence wearing red and blue uniforms similar to those of the Jayhawks.  According to the Kansan, it was not until Hamilton “called his team from the floor and decorated them with grey jerseys” that the game could be played.  KU won 49-22.

From early on, the fans at Missouri made life on the road tough for the Jayhawks.  During the 1913-14 season, an account in the student paper reported that the “Missouri rooters” were called for a foul.
