Gale Gordon continued the string of KU basketball All-Americans in the 1920’s being named to the 1927 squad. He was named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference outfit the same year. A combination guard- forward, Gordon played one year with Tus Ackerman and combined with Al Peterson throughout his career as KU won conference titles in 1925-27.

Twice a first-team All-American and All-Missouri Valley selection, Gordon was an important member of KU's 1927 conference championship team — the Jayhawks' fifth straight such title. He is a member of the Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame.
