Myron "Sonny" Enns (1946) Athlete Enns was an all-state performer on the 1946 state championship basketball team, and went on to play basketball for Phog Allen at The University of Kansas. After starting the season with 9 wins and 3 losses, Newton ended the year with 12 consecutive victories, beating McPherson in the state championship game 31-30. It was the first season John Ravenscroft took over as coach of the Railers. |
