SEASON SUMMARY:

In 1916-17, Hamilton began naming his starting players only minutes before each game.  He had found that when he named his starters in advance, several of the other players failed to show up for the game.  The Jayhawks began the year 7-0 but collapsed, collecting a second-straight fourth-place finish.
