SEASON
SUMMARY:
Although seriously handicapped by the lack of a good court on
which to practice, our Basketball team has nevertheless made an
unusually good record. During the course of the season it
has take two trips, each one of which was longer than any trip
over before taken by any Basketball team west of the
Mississippi. On the first of these trips our team played
three of the best teams in the United States. On this trip
we got some very valuable information respecting the way
Basketball should be played. The second trip was begun
Friday, January 30. On this trip our team made a very
credible record, winning five out of the seven games played.
Two of the teams we beat had just succeeded in defeating the
Haskell Indians. Three other trips were taken during the
season; the first at Liberty, Missouri; a second at Newton,
Kansas; and a third to Lee's Summit, Missouri.
