David W. Preston has rejoined Lathrop & Gage in the corporate practice area in the firm's Kansas City office. Preston, of counsel, was most recently senior vice president and general counsel for Russell Stover Candies Inc. Before joining Russell Stover, he maintained a corporate and real estate practice at Lathrop & Gage for 18 years. His practice at the firm consisted of representing businesses in various stock and asset transactions, contract negotiations, major retail leases and real estate development. Preston received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1980 and his juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in 1984.
