Alonzo Jamison has been named Consumer Banking Officer at the Blue Hills Banking Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Jamison, who is also branch manager at the facility, is responsible for business development, community involvement and overseeing the loan portfolio and sales for the branch, as well as administrative and operational functions. He has three years of retail sales and banking experience and will graduate from the University of Kansas in Lawrence this fall with a B.S. degree in communication. Mr. Jamison is a member of the Southtown Council and K-Club (Williams Fund).

Bethel taps ex-Jayhawk

North Newton — Former Kansas University standout Alonzo Jamison has been named an assistant men’s basketball coach at Bethel College.

Jamison, originally from Santa Ana, Calif., played for the Jayhawks under coach Roy Williams from 1989-92.

Before coming to Bethel, Jamison worked at Sprint and coached basketball at Mill Valley High.
