1992: Team Co-captain
Book Review - 'Making the Basketball Team', by Lane Czaplinski
Lane Czaplinski is the author of 'Making The Basketball Team: Get Off The Bench And Into The Game' , a skills manual for young men and women trying to play competitive basketball. As the son of a longtime basketball coach, Lane grew up playing the game with a steady framework for developing his skills. While he never became Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson, the skills he developed over a number of years enabled him to enjoy an exciting career at each level, culminating in a slot on one of the country's best programs, The University of Kansas men's basketball team. As co-captain of the '91, 92 Jayhawks, Lane was a part of a Big Eight championship, Big-Eight post-season championship, and a NCAA tourney berth. Since graduating from Kansas University, Lane has coached a men's and women's high school basketball team in Hawaii and 5th through 12th graders each summer at the Roy Williams Basketball Camp in Lawrence, Kansas.
